Teacher
Teacher or educator is a
person who helps others to acquire knowledge, competences or values. Formally,
the teacher is everyone who teaches in the public or private school and has the
ability based on their educational background.
Teacher is a term which
generally refers to professional educators whose tasks are educating, teaching,
guiding, directing, training, and measuring students’ ability in a formal
teaching process. However, the teachers’ professional
duty may be beyond formal teaching. Outside of the classroom, sometimes they
should accompany students on field trips, supervise study halls, help with the
organization of school functions, and serve as supervisors for extracurricular
activities. In some education systems, teachers have also responsibility for
student discipline.
Scientist
Scientist is a person engaging
in a systematic observation based on a scientific method to acquire knowledge
that describes and predicts the natural phenomenon. This activity is commonly
known as “research”. The scientist can be an expert in one or more areas
of science.
Scientists do the research
because of various reasons. Many of them do the research to understand why the
world is as we see it and how it came to be. They have a strong curiosity about
reality. Others are motivated by their peers and prestige, or the desire to
apply their scientific knowledge for the benefit of health, nations, world,
nature or industries (academic scientist and industrial scientist). Scientists
tend to be less motivated by direct financial reward for their work. As a
result, scientific researchers often accept lower average salaries compared
with many other prestigious jobs.
