ASSIGNMENT
M3 LA1
Instructions
Try to get information
about a character in your home town and write a narrative (folktale) of it
using the generic structure (setting, characters, plot/events, problem, and
solution).
BUJANG
KURAP
Once upon a time, there lived a very handsome young man.
The young man was on his way and took the time to stop by in a very prosperous village called Karang Panggung Lamo.
In addition to handsome, it turned out this young man was
also powerful. He was able to change his handsome face to be ugly, smelly, and
also a lot of ringworm all over his body. So the person who saw him often
called him the Single Ringworm.
He did it to look for people who did not only judge a
person from his physical being. However, more than just physical could be from
the goodness of his heart and his honesty.
One day in the village of Karang Panggung Lamo, Bujang Kurap
went to a wedding ceremony. However, he intentionally wanted to test the
villagers. So he decided to become a bad, rotten, and anointed youth.
Of course, whoever saw him would immediately hate him. No
exception to the villagers Karang Panggung Lamo. When the Bujang Kurap wanted
to meet the bride, the villagers did not allow it, there was an insult, expel, and
even spit.
This made the Bujang Kurap decided to leave the village.
However, he gave 1 condition to the villagers. Anyone who could pull the stick
that he plugged into the land, and then he would go directly from the village.
Hearing the conditions posed by the Bujang Kurap, many
villagers laughed and immediately agreed to the terms. Residents assumed it was
not difficult and very easy to do.
Bujang Kurap was not a person carelessly indeed. His
magic power was very wonderful. After he plugged a stick to the ground, then, in turn, the villagers tried to pull out the stick with the intention to repel Bujang
Kurap.
But what happened? None of the citizens were able to pull
it out. Until the Bujang Kurap said: "You, all villagers! You only judged
a person from his physical.. You were very arrogant. You would get the punishment!
"
At the same time Bujang Kurap plucked the stick he stuck
in very easily. But what happened then? After the stick was revoked, then the
hole immediately issued a very swift spring and did not stop. Thus, the village
of Karang Panggung Lamo sank in the water and now the village was transformed
into a lake. This lake is what we know with Lake Rayo.
