Five Principles of Young Generation Seizing the World

Assalamualaikum wr. wb.

إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ لِلَّهِ نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِيْنُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهْ وَنَسْتَهْدِيْهِ وَنَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ شُرُوْرِ أَنْفُسِنَا وَمِنْ سَيِّئَاتِ أَعْمَالِنَا، مَنْ يَهْدِهِ اللهُ فَلاَ مُضِلَّ لَهُ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلاَ هَادِيَ لَهُ. أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ الله وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ.

 اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَمَنِ اهْتَدَى بِهُدَاهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ. أَمَّا بَعْدُ

Praise be to Allah, we praise Him and ask for His help, forgiveness, and guidance. We take refuge in God from the evil of ourselves and the evil of our charity. Whoever gets from Allah's guidance will not lead him astray, and he who goes astray, there is no guide for him. I testify that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. O Allah, may prayer and salvation be given to Muhammad and his family, and friends and anyone who gets clues until the Day of Judgment

Honourable, our Muhadarah's mentor Mr / Ms ________________ and our beloved homeroom Mr/Mrs / Ms ______________ and all my lovely friends.

As beings who believe in the Almighty God, let us always be grateful for the gift that God has given us so that we can gather here to carry out Muhadarah Activities in this _____ class that we love.

Prayers accompanied by greetings, let us deliver to our role model, our leader, our great prophet, the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Because of the blessing of his struggle, Islam can reach our country and we can become a part of his people.

On this occasion, I will deliver a speech entitled Five Principles of Young Generation Seizing the World. There have been many examples of the so bad social relationships of young people. They are more proud of the present idol like an artist and singer who hold the bad sekulerism. Youth are no longer enthusiastic, because many of them are lackluster with the world as they go.

Misleading society is not entirely their fault. This hedonic-permissive and secularist life is the root of the problems that afflict our young generation. Even character education is not able to restore youth as an agent of change. As a result of hedonic life, young people only know what and how to have fun, do not care about bad, do not care about halal haram.

As a result of permissive life, everything present and modern always becomes a model as if it is a mandatory thing that must be followed, can be enjoyed, and may be appreciated. Because of the secularist life, many of the young people's identities were mortgaged by the western culture that had destroyed the youth people.

We need to reflect on the example of youth in the heyday of Islam such as Muhammad Al Fatih. At a young age of 14 years, he had memorized the Qur'an and mastered 6 world languages. At the age of 21 he replaced his father as head of state in the Khilafah Utsmani. In addition, he was also an expert on military tactics, diligent in worship, never even leaving the evening prayer.

Due to his achievement, Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala gave his victory in conquering Constantinople which at that time the fort was impenetrable for 750 years. The Byzantine power which was powerful and strong nation at that time was subdued by Muhammad Al Fatih.

As a young generation of Muslims, it is our duty to restore the essential identity of our young people. In order not to become a younger generation easily swayed by the flow of Western culture and thoughts that damage physically and psychologically, it is necessary to do the following:

First, have a clear vision. As a young man, his identity must be clear. What we are and what to do. So that the purpose of life and the ideals become clear. As Muslim youth, of course we will not be separated from our basic vision as servants of Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala, namely worshiping Allah and submitting and obeying Allah.

Second, care for others. It is not a habit for a young man to be apathetic to the surrounding conditions. Because youth are agents of change, it must be embedded in our awareness that we are agents of change. Changing bad conditions becomes a better condition. "Surely Allah will help a servant of Him as long as the servant helps others". (Muslim hadith)

Third, cooperate in Goodness. Changing conditions needs togetherness in fighting for good. As the words of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘Alaihi Wassallam:" Believers with other believers are like one building; each other strengthens. "(Muttafaq aih alaih).

Fourth, learners. As a youth, it must always be a learner. Continue to learn to improve self-quality, improve self-quality as a youth, of course, with a qualified knowledge so that the role as agent of change can be realized properly. Isn't the future in the hands of the youth? Then it is obligatory for every Muslim youth to study and study Islam seriously, to be practiced in life.

 Fifth, deliver the Truth even though it is bitter. Youth is an idealistic, productive and brave person. Here is a way to get rid of the sluggishness of the youth by saying the truth bravely, not fearing of those who will harm them. "Therefore, convey the warning because the warning is useful. People who are afraid of God will get a lesson."(Surat al-A'la [87]: 9-10).

This Indonesia future is on our shoulders. Rise up Muslim youth to fight every form of injustice and tyranny that occurs in this country. It is time for young people to take a role, do not become 'junk society' as the Arabic expression says wujuduhu ka ‘adamihi (its existence, same as its absence). What a waste.

Come on! We seize Indonesia with our achievements and works to bring Islam to the world stage. That’s all for my speech, maybe useful. I end my session by saying Wassalamualaikum wr. wb.
